As we enter the final quarter of an eventful year to say the least, it’s important to look forward rather than dwell on what has been happening over the past 6 months. I’m sure many of us would like to fast forward to the spring in the hope that social restrictions will have eased, however we do have a lot to look forward to in the meantime, especially on a local level.

The Autumn is always a busy month for Waverley, and whilst we may not be able to get everyone together like we usually do, there’s still a calendar full of events coming up, starting with the annual Scarecrow Festival, that will be running from 17th October onwards.

Judging will have to be done remotely this year, however that doesn’t mean you can’t all get involved and be creative once again! There are more details about this, and some other community activities in the latest update from Waverley Events.

You may have seen the consultation run by Harworth and Well Rotherham over the summer on the proposals for Waverley Park, the Bike Trail and Community Garden Room. A summary of the findings from this are featured in the latest update from our magazine sponsor, Harworth. There will be further opportunities for residents to have their say on these new developments, so keep an eye out for further information in the near future.

We also have news on the new Community Garden, as well as our regular updates from the Residents Association and Community Council.

As ever, big thanks go to all our advertisers and article contributors who help to make Wave Magazine possible. Your support through these difficult last few months has been fantastic!
